Mind is Everything
Our long time sun is rolling across this gorgeous blue canvas, giving the impression that the sands of time, space and memories are sinking down to the bottom of the hourglass, and it translates into a beautiful afternoon. It’s 1:39pm. It’s Here, Now.
I am preparing for my daily cold bath. All I need is the breath, this ancient meditation, this timeless technology. Life and Death. In and Out. Eternity. A nice cup of tea after my bath, it’s all I need too though.
First, the Mind scares itself with lots of interesting scenarios, like scary movies on demand. The body listens and moves towards the swimming pool. There’s no time for movies or popcorn, It’s November in New England and it’s cold. I walk in to the water.
The cold water embraces me completely, just as I am. She is patient and alive and I become like water. Mind surrenders to the flow. Mind is quiet. Mind is everything. Mind is good.
Breathing is the way, the truth and the life. I realize that state of mind and a wave of joy and excitement presses over my entire body. It feels benevolent and I trust it’s Silence, I remain still, breathing in and out, Here and Now.
I feel powerful and supported. I can’t tell where the body begins and the water ends. Meanwhile, I see two crows flying over me, chatting about something, the wind dances the trees, sending the leaves down to the ground.
The cold water lets me know that is time to get out the pool. I say, yes!
I wrap a fluffy clean white towel over my body, the sun kisses me and I take a generous deep breath and go inside.
Blue lotus tea is brewing. A pretzel shortbread cookie awaits for me. I feel supported and loved.
